Retrenched workers sign up as ING's agents

ING has increased its agency force by 15% this year, contributed by retrenched workers joining while waiting for their next permanent job. ING has 10,000 agents. (We have posed some questions in the Comment section and we welcome your views and comments)

For policyholders who have been retrenched, they can enjoy 6-month premium payment break with ING.

If these retrenched workers join to earn some income while waiting for their next permanent job, isn't it a concern that the quality of their service and advice may be compromised?

Who will be there to service the policyholders if these agents eventually take up a permanent job? By default it will be the immediate superior, will this upset the policyhoders?

Has ING embarked on the right strategy?

Views and comments are welcome.

You have the point.

But, to me, buying a useful plan is more important than having a good agent sometimes. If an agent is very good in servicing his clients but he sells a wrong product to them, policyholders will also be affected.

If an agent sells the right plans to his clients and he suddenly stops being an insurance agent, policyholders still can get his claim without an agent as the insurance company is there to help. The main problem in this situation is that the policyholders have to do the claim themselves.

What do you think???

no no no.... the insurance agent duties is to sell a Sincere protection policy and is not a good or bad plan... or gain or loss policy...
