Axa Affin Life to have a new CEO

Loke Kah Meng (pic) is tipped to be the next CEO of Axa Affin Life Insurance in Malaysia. He is due to report to work in early August.

It is learned that Loke's physical last day with Great Eastern was yesterday.

Loke was the EVP of Customer Management and Chief Marketing Officer at Great Eastern. He was heavily involved in the Centennial Campaign at Great Eastern when Great Eastern celebrated its 100th year anniversary last year.

A Fellow of Society of Actuaries, Loke worked in AIA as appointed actuary and Manulife as CFO and appointed actuary prior to joining Great Eastern.

Does that mean that all his cronies at GE are also going to leave... I hope so... this guy is a political beast that does not care who he steps on... His short stint at GE has certainly made the place a lot less pleasant to work at!

Good riddance! Hope his cadres follow too!

He is not a politician, Love him or hate him, he is a general. Either you don't know him or hate him due to some reason but he still gain respect from other people. People in GE miss him and unlike what you said made the place less plesant to work. However, I'd to agree with you that - Yes ! AXA, good for your guys!!!

Agree that he is not a political beast. Politicians are, in contrast, very careful about who they step on. In fact, the real political beast still lurks within GE...
